All comments and advice are appreciated! P.s. I know that some of 90s Dakotas have a 5.2 but I'm not %100 sure how difficult it will be to fit in. I know the nv3500 is rated to be able to handle around 300ftlbs of torque. I found a trans on eBay for $300 that came out of a 94 2wd Dakota, with a tad bit of Internet surfing I found some helpful info that leads me to believe it's not too difficult. I had thought about getting a four speed from the same year and model but now I'm thinking I want a 5speed. ![]() It's been a couple years since the car has ran and I'm looking to get it up and running by summer time. In fact they had never seen a trans like that! Kind of odd but I figured it's my chance to upgrade. They called a few weeks later and said they couldn't find parts for it at all. I had takin it to a well known trans shop that builds trannys for some mud racing trucks for a friend of mine to get rebuilt. Awhile back I snapped the main shaft on my 3on the floor manual trans doin a little bit of showin off. ![]() Hey there FABO! It's been awhile Since I've been on the forums but I wanted to seek some advice on a decent 5 speed swap into my 74 318 Duster. ![]()
